Your Windows password expires every 120 days. Please review the steps below to change it:
Step 1.
Make sure you are connected to the Mitutoyo Corporate Network either connecting physically to an Ethernet cable at the Aurora HQ or a remote office, connecting to the wireless network called MAC-WLAN, or connecting through VPN through your phone hotspot or other network. It is imperative that you are connected to the Mitutoyo Corporate Network in some way.
Step 2.
On your keyboard click and hold CTRL + ALT + DEL, once you have done that a blue screen should appear with a list of options, one of those options should be “change your windows password”, click on it. Input your current windows password, and create your new windows password, verify it. Press Enter. Now the laptop/computer will communicate with Active Directory and update your credentials. This process could take a couple of minutes, depending on the strength of your network connection. Once the process concludes you will be back to your desktop. This will be the password that you will now use to log into windows.
Step 3.
Restart your machine or log off and log back on. Either way you will need to enter the new password you just created.
Step 4.
For those with Company Phones, change the password on your email application to the new password that you just created.
Note: your password will need to be changed in 120 days from the moment you changed your password. Please consider changing it before that time.
